If you want to join in the cleaning fun, here's where to begin! Make sure you get all the posts in this series by subscribing here!
Day 1 - Priorities
Day 3 - Why Clean?
Day 19 - The Vehicle
Day 20 - Pictures
Day 21 - Email
Day 22 - The Pantry
Day 24 - Limitations
Day 27 - The RoomLink
Day 30 - Simplify
Day 31 - Reflect
The bragging picture (when we first moved in)
The reality picture (two years later)

This is my house by the end of the weekend - I know, I know, it's awful! That is why I am beginning an experiment of sorts. Tomorrow I'm starting a new series, "31 Days to Clean." It is my attempt to get my self (and anybody else interested) organized and in a good cleaning routine. I know if I can "get it together" I will have more time for my interests (blogging, reading, studying) and more time to plan out and do activities with my kiddos. Oh yea, and my husband will be happier I'm sure (even though he doesn't complain - God bless him!)
I hope you'll join me - I need all the help I can get!

Well, I was "oh so curious" so I clicked on your blog from Simple Mom's site. I must say that when I saw the bragging picture, I thought "Oh, how nice." Then the reality picture...well, it made me kind of giggle. You are a brave woman! Just thought I'd say "Hi", but I must go now. I'm not even supposed to be on the computer! (I'm trying to scale back!)

I really hate to clean, much rather be sewing, reading, rubber stamping, almost anything. However, having a plan always helps! Flylady helped get me started a few years ago and now I have my own routine and zones to clean. The pictures of the playdough making brings back precious memories, both my daughters helped make this many times while growing up and had such a great time. I came across your blog and enjoy it very much. God Bless You!

I found you through a comment you left for Kat at A Quiet Life. I'm so glad I clicked over. I love your blog!

On any given day my home could look just like your "reality photo". I will definitely be stopping by for your 31 Days to Clean. That sounds like something I really need.

Thank you for posting this pic!! I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one! I need to join you on the 31 days.

Also, wanted you to know that your goodies really are on their way. And, in case you were worried, I tested them for quality assurance purposes...LOL!

Thank you for being so transparent! I totally hear you...that is my house too! I looked up housecleaning on about.com and they had a ton of great tips to get me onto a good schedule. It's something I am challenged with each and every day! You go girl!!!

I am eager to hear about your plan. I've been a mom for 10 years now and I still have not figured out how to get the kids to clean up after themselves. I feel as if I have forces working against me in this area.

What a great idea for a series...I'll be following along. I need to get into a groove msyelf...I don't seem to get everything done I intend to do at the end of the day.

Oooh - what a good idea. Found your 31 Days to Clean from Katy Lin at "The great adventure".
Will be checking this out regularly to keep up with what your plan is for a more organised life and will jump on board with things along the way that suit me.
Thanks for such a great idea!

Hi Sarah Mae - You're right, we are on the same wave length, LOL. Your destination is 31 Days to Clean and mine is the 365 Days of Decluttering Challenge!

I have subscribed to your blog 1) because it looked interesting and 2) because you were so incredibly brave to post BOTH pics. ;-)

Good luck on your journey! Hope to see you around my blog again if you decide to take your own 365 Days of Decluttering Challenge.

I have this problem. I think it is because I am crafty not organized. I have been trying to do better here lately and I was just wondering if you accomplished your goal.

Another thing I have to work on...so many so little time.

Have a blessed week!

As you know, this is something with which I have been struggling, well for as long as I can remember. I am so glad you came up with an organized series to do about it- I wanted to but couldn't come up with anything coherent.

So, I am definitely joining in.

And yay for an unplugging day. I am gonna do that every Saturday I think (wrote about why on last post).

Hope we can all gain something from this. Can't wait! And a great outline, too...

This post just about makes me want to cry (from happiness) because I can't tell you how many times my place has looked close to that. I'm working on making some changes (thank you Lord for helping me change) and I really appreciate your honesty!
