Goodmorning! Allow me to introduce you to a very funny 5:16 AM Gal:
If you are tired this Monday morning, please please please head on over to this gal's blog - she is sure to have you laughing! However, she is not only funny, but insightful and introspective. One of my favorite features she has for Motivate Me Monday is her "What God Has Taught My Stubborn Self" and "Tips, Tricks and Doozer Sticks." Head on over and give her some love!
One more piece of business - the winners of my little journal giveaway! Picked randomly, I now give my congrats to:
Sarah from Nesting from Pleasant View
Christin from Journey to a Gracious Woman with Fly-by-the-pants-of-my-seat Blogging! (What a name, eh?!)
Katy Lin from The Great Adventure
E-mail me your addresses and I will get your journals to you A.S.A.P!
Now onto my MMM post...
One of things that the Lord has really been laying on my heart is the big picture of marriage. Not just how it reflects Jesus and His bride, the church (Christians), but how it is also a major character builder. There is so much I want to say about this that a MMM post just will not due, so I am going to be writing about it throughout this week. I hope you will join me.
Your Turn!
- What have you learned and/or how God has spoken to you lately?
- Share some advice, wisdom, practical applications, tips you've learned, etc. that you think would benefit others.
*Make sure to link directly to your MMM post and then link back here!

I am browsing around my followed blogs and am truly dismayed to realize that I've been out for a while! ACK! I won't post about it today, but I do want to share that God showed me today (through a presentation of The Star of Bethlehem at church...Rick Larson is amazing and his presentation left me speechless) that He has timed every. single. thing. in this life down to the second. Not one thing is unplanned to Him. Not. One. Thing. What hope we have when we are His children!
I'm looking forward to what you will be sharing this week on marriage.
I also really like your new button and it was fun to read your answers from being tagged. Sarah just happens to be my sister:)
Have a motivating, inspiring, and blessed Monday!
Hi Sarah Mae~ I've been reading about your 5:16 club, and am looking forward to joining. Blessings to you this Monday.
Yes, it is the Stepping Up study and it was so good and I learned so much! I will be anxious to hear how you enjoy it.
I'm excited to be a winner of the journals--they couldn't have come at a better time as I am experiencing so many different emotions these days and would love to have some place to write them down for reflection.
I'll email my address!
woohoo! thank you sarah mae!!! i am excited to hear more about the big picture of marriage this week - oh, and i love the button! :)
Sarah Mae, you have been a real blessing! You have given me the kick in the pants that I have been needing. Rising up early has been such a wonderful thing in my life right now. I don't know that the rest of my day is really much more productive, but that isn't what is most important.....right??
Sarah Mae, happy to find your blog through the sisters, Christy and Sarah. And Jennifer! Love your Motivate Me Monday. Also just discovered SparkPeople. Neat. Have you been a member long?
Blessings.
Today I have nothing to share on MakingThisHome.com, but I still wanted to drop in to see what everyone is saying. Looking forward to it--
Katie
I too am looking forward to your posts about marriage. As a "newish" mama, I feel that sometimes I focus a little too much on that part of my life and neglect the wife part. I'm sure my husband will benefit from this week's "lessons!" Our 3rd anniversary is next week, so I'll be all "wifely" and ready for that celebration!
i really like the button!
I totally agree...marriage is a topic that is very meaty! I look forward to reading more about it! :)
Just love your site and the way you are bringing together Sisters in Christ to encourage one another. Love your blog!
can't wait to see what you will share on marriage this week! love the button, too!
Thanks for the motivation and the inspiration!
You've made at least one person's world a little brighter. ;)
Hi everyone,
I just posted my Monday post...I will probably be late in doing this until December is over as I am in the last month of Monday posts for a group of bloggers reading through the Bible together...so if that isn't encouragement as we seek to be accountable to one another in rising early and seeking Him...the group effort is a blessing and helpful.
I never cease to be amazed by how God speaks but he does.
I hope you all have a wonderful week of meeting with Him.
Helen
