These are two faves! XOXO ~Janell

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
-Eleanor Roosevelt

I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much.
-Mother Theresa

My all time fav quote is:
Life is not measured by the breaths we take; but by the moments that take our breath away.

I have many quotes that I love....but scripture is alive for me....

I have some very special verses hidden in my heart...I cling to them.

"Create in me a pure heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me". Ps. 51:10

"For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind".
2 Tim. 1:7

Although my favorite quote is from anyone famous, it is one that I have carried with me since I was a child. Whenever I would go somewhere, my Dad would say,"Remember who you are." What he was teaching me was that I was going out representing our family and who I was and what I stood for. I didn't become a Christian until I was 20 and now that quote has even more significance to me knowing who I am in Christ. There are many times, no matter where I am or what I'm doing that I have to "remember who I am".

I now say it to my children. Kind of drives them crazy - it did me too! I'm really thankful for all the times I heard it though.

Love those journals:)

Oh, hard decisions!

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
Albert Einstein

I have this on my desk, but I am not sure I'd label it inspirational: "A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else" - JFK

or what about ...
"Given a wand and a tiara, I am fairly certain I could save the world" ... unknown! ;-)

Fun stuff!

I don't have many quotes that I really remember, but here are a couple of good ones:

“I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom, and that of all about me, seemed insufficient for the day. ”
- Abraham Lincoln

And of course, a chocolate one:

"I could stop eating chocolate but I'm not a quitter."

Thanks for a lovely giveaway!

Oh what a wonderful treasure a new journal would be. My favorite quote is "we were born with wings. Why prefer to crawl through life?"
My now-husband saw when I had written that quote and immediately contacted me four years ago. He was a pilot, and I'd won him over with those words!
Thank you.

Right now, I kind of like this one:

"This year, or this month, or, more likely, this very day, we have failed to practise ourselves the kind of behaviour we expect from other people."

I read "The Shack" by William Young shortly after losing my twin daughters.

This is a quote from the book..."Oh child, don't ever discount the wonder of your tears. They can be healing waters and a stream of joy. Sometimes they are the best words the heart can speak."

This is a quote that has stuck in my mind as soon as I read it. I have in posted on my home.

Lord, I am willing
To receive what You give,
To lack what You withhold,
To relinquish what You take,
To suffer what You inflict,
To be what you require.
-from Jerry Bridges' Transforming Grace book
