5:16 Gals Update *Update on the Update

*Whew, that took FOREEEEEEEEEVAH! Please check the list and make sure you are on it if you requested to be, and make sure your link is correct. If you want to be added to the list or something is wrong with your link, please leave a comment on this post. Thanks gals! :)

**I corrected the "Twibe" link

Tonight I will finally be updating the 5:16 club list. I am SO sorry I put it off so long...I have a ton of catching up to do! Also, if you are on Twitter, I have started a 516Gals Twibe (my husband thinks that name is hilarious - he tells me I'm the chief of my "twibe") where you can actually say good morning to other 5:16 gals before or after your time with the Lord (or anytime, for that matter!). I'm not sure I'm going to keep the forum. If I do, I'm going to need your ideas and some help to get it going and keep it active.

Alright gals, I'll see you bright and early in the a.m.! :)

I'll try to check out the twibe after my quiet time tomorrow. This morning, my kids were up at 6am with me, so my "quiet time" has commenced throughout the day!

My husband directed me to some interesting verses today regarding waking up early: Psalm 127:1-2. Pay special attention to, "Unless the Lord..." ((Hugs))

Christin, :)

"Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
2 It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep."

I remember reading this in Passionate Housewives, and I think it is a relief for many...especially moms with little ones! That is why you can be a part of the club without rising early...the goal is to strive and redeem the time with our savior, whatever time of the day we can. However, I think the ideal is to rise early when we can so that we are prepared for the battles of the day. I know for me I cherish the mornings b/c they get my soul quieted before the day.

Thanks for this comment! :)

I've gotten so much out of this idea of waking up early. It's really been a blessing!

Please add me to this wonderful group of women! I also wake early in the morning to spend time with my Saviour. I get quite cranky when I don't have it! lol
Thanks

Please include me , my husband recently started a new job that requires we get up at 3:30AM Yes 3:30AM and he leaves for work (2 hour commute) at 4:30 so I have plenty of time in the wee hours of the morning for my quiet time.
Blessings,Joann

Hi Sarah Mae,

I joined in earlier in the year but haven't added my name to the list. I joined your twibe today - still don't have the way it works sorted out - but tomorrow is a new day!

Thanks

I joined the twibe, but I am not a good example of a 5:16 Gal this week! Maybe next week will be better! I need to find some time in the day no matter what's happening that day.
