Happy Monday! I am VERY excited about today's giveaway.
For all of you who have been reading this blog for a while, you know that I LOVE the Songs for Saplings CD's. Well, the wonderful folks who put out these FANTASTIC CD's have offered to giveaway FOUR of their CD's to Like A Warm Cup Of Coffee readers - one per week for the next four weeks! Can I get a WOOT WOOT?! :) Oh, and next week I'll have an interview up with James Dirksen, the creator of Songs for Saplings.
"The music from Songs for Saplings is designed to help you teach your children about God. We create lively, fun songs that attempt to deliver the deepest of Biblical truth in a format that your children will love to listen to."
Here's the deal, all of you who link up for the MMM posts are in the drawing for a CD.
This week's CD is Questions & Answers Volume One. You can click on that link to hear a sample of the songs and read more about the music. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOO......... good, and my kiddos absolutely LOVE them! Plus, they are learning all about God! Good doctrinal stuff here folks.
Okay, now for my MMM post...
In my devotional today (Come Before Winter by Chuck Swindoll) I read all about "dressing your dreams in denim," meaning you have to do the hard work if you want your dreams to become a reality. For me, I want to love my husband well, manage my household well, and train my children in the Lord - these are my dreams. However, I tend to get bogged down in the everyday..."I can't do this, it's just so hard." Well, the fact is, if I want to serve my family well, I must put the denim on my dreams. Here are the questions posed in my devotional that I found very helpful (and motivating):
"The favorite expressions of a practical soul often begin with "what?"
- What does the job require?
- What do you expect of me?
- What is the deadline?
- What are the techniques?
Or "how"...
- How does it work?
- How long will it take?
- How much does it cost?
- How fast can it go?
Hope these questions motivate you as they did me!
Now it's YOUR TURN!
- Share some advice, wisdom, practical applications, tips you've learned, etc. that you think would benefit and motivate others.
*Make sure to link directly to your MMM post and then link back here!

I didn't get a chance to post a MMM today! But I will try next week. I just couldn't get it together today before I left for work. I love your blog though and am looking forward to some more pics of little Caroline! I will share new pics of my grandson (grandbaby #5!) in a few weeks!

Ooh great giveaway!
Great thoughts on daily life too. Sometimes it really can get tedious if we don't remember the "bigger picture".
I was really encouraged this weekend by some friends about not worrying about my house being perfectly clean. They told me the reason my house isn't perfectly clean is because I'm investing in something more important: my kids. I can't devote the same amount of attention to the house and still have something leftover for my kids. In the end, what will prevail? The house work will STILL be there...my kiddos won't. They are being poured into intellecutally, spiritually, morally, emotionally, etc. In the end, their investment is what matters the most.
By all means, do some work to keep the house in some order. But if a load of laundry or two sits cold in a basket for a day, no one will die from it. If the dishes have to wait til morning every now and then, it's really no big deal. Not for the long haul.((hugs!!))
OH I love that. "Dressing your dreams in denim"! What a great thought. Thanks for sharing!
I love the putting the denim in your dreams! I am ready to work on my dreams and get them from dreams to reality!!!
What a wonderful giveaway!
I apologize for being late again . . . I'll get it together one of these days! ;)
Hope you and your family are doing well!
