Are You Trapped By The Rushes Of Life?

"I wish I were closer to Jesus

but not enough to get out of my bed

for an early morning prayer before the

rushes of life take me instead."

Sara Groves

So, anyone out there still interested in being a part of the 5 am (or early morning) club?

UPDATE: Even if we are in different time zones, you can still be a part of the "club." Just get up at 5 am or an early time your time. It doesn't even have to be 5 am - heck, make it 7 am if that works better for you! The point isn't the "time" per se, as it is starting the day with Jesus before any distractions. :)

5 am in Sarah land is only 3 am here in Phoenix. I love the idea, but the time is a bit of an issue. ;)

My 5am will be 8am your time, but I really do need to try it. My day would go so much better, I think.

I will attempt it starting on Monday - that gives me a few days to get prepared for the idea and to start getting to bed at a reasonable time!

Seven a.m. is PLENTY early for this night owl! : )

I love your new picture! You are so beautiful!

I will definitely join you! My little darling gives me til at least 8, so I get a break there. I know that if I don't do it early, I won't do it at all, or it's rushed and not meaningful.

Sounds like somebody's been reading Carolyn Mahaney!

Friend, I am already part of the 5 am club!!! :) So, you can count me in on this!

Seriously, for you skeptics out there...this club is life changing! You'll have so much time to take care of your faith and get things ready before your family gets up.

Sure it's hard at first but TOTALLY worth it. I suggest investing in a coffee pot with an auto brew feature.

Oh, and I LOVE your new picture!! Very cute!

I would love to join you in this- the time change makes it so I'm awake early anyway!

I think I am in. But mine might be a 6am club. Maybe a 6:30am club. For sure will need to put the alarm on the other side of the room.

I desire that time so much, but getting out of bed ... well, it's hard to do. They say it only takes 21 days to create a habit, right???

Okay . . . I'm in. My little guy has just started sleeping through the night (for the most part), and I'm usually awake at 5:00 anyhow.

I normally read my bible and devotions at bedtime (when I read them out loud to the kids, it puts them to sleep), but I'd really like to start and end my day with the Lord.
