And now it's...
Thank you, dear Katy Lin, for your sweet award to my blog! I love it...it has coffee mugs in it, filled with Creme Brulee Creamed Coffee...mmmm....
Now this award isn't just any award, it comes with a questionnaire. Here goes:
1. Do you have the same friends since childhood? One, my dear friend Tania (the Chinese baby boy - wink wink).
2. What do you value most about your friends? Sincerity, honesty, fun, being encouraged and going deep. I really value what I call the "warm cup of coffee" trait. It's those friends you can be around that are just warm and soothing.
3. Are your friends your sounding boards? My husband, my best friend, is my first and foremost sounding board. Then my girlfriends, definitely!
4. What is your favorite activity to share with your friends? Staying up all night (hello 6th grade slumber party!) eating pringles and chocolate, and having great talks.
Now I get to pass this award along to four (but I'm going to give seven because it's my blog) of my bloggy friends (I love this part!) Gosh, I think so many of you are fabulous, but alas, I shall pick seven. Are you ready? Here's to you!
Melanie at "Uncle" Travelling Mel
Robin at Robin's Egg Blue (She is an awesome older, wiser Titus 2 woman)
Katie at Three Blondes and a Redhead
Laura at 10 Million Miles (She has GREAT pre-school ideas for your kiddo)
Heathahlee at Butterfly Genes
Lisa at Stop & Smell the Chocolates
Now pretty pretty please go give them some comment love! :)

NO! WAY!!! Why, I...I don't know what to say! Especially coming from YOU...I just love reading your blog and to get a nod like this, well, I'm blushing. I've been so encouraged by you...thank you!!!
Oh you are too sweet. Our family oohed and aahed over your picture with your husband. You both look so happy. Thank you for the award, it is very kind and thoughtful.
Here is a comment for your soup lines post. Things will surely get worse, our society has been over spending for too long and it just can't continue without consequences. We need to keep our eyes on the Lord and seek His wisdom as we go through this.
My husband's job seems stable, but we know of two engineers who have lost their jobs recently, both of them are in their mid 50's with families to care for. I know they have been careful with their money, but they will still have to find another job at a time when jobs are extremely hard to find.
When I have my coffee in the morning I will think of you.

Awww, you're so sweet! Thank you! I feel so honored to be amongst these ladies! : )
Oh, and I wonder if I told my husband I'd DIE without paint for my dining area it would get him a little more motivated to let us paint? Hmmm....it couldn't hurt to try.... : )
Thank you so much! You are so sweet!
Your hubby is the best! That is a great pic of you two. And you didn't tell us what color paint you are getting...
Hello there. I am here via my friend Scargosun. I live in Bristol in the UK and Scargosun is my daily take on America! I enjoyed your Poetry blog, and hey, the Paint one on here was cool too! Gonna bookmark your Blog if that's cool.
PS: Also enjoyed your take on God and stuff - I think Psalm 128 sounds like one you'd subscribe to? It matches your profile description. :)
We just got done painting the whole inside of our house. When Tropical Storm Faye landed here and brought all that rain we figured that was a good time to do it. What else could we do lol. I hope yours goes well. And that is a cute award. You gotta love coffee mugs lol.
Blessings
Kim
