"A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body..." Proverbs 14:30a

WOW!

Writing that down, and meditating on it ALL day tomorrow, and as long as the Lord wills.

Today was anything but peaceful.

What a timely verse!!!

Hallelujah.....Yay, God!

I don't think you can have 14:30a without getting rid of 14:30b

"... but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones."
proverbs 14:30b

and right now by God's grace I'm living the former because I've dealt with the latter about 5 min. ago. Praise God!

Thanks for sharing the great verse! It is a perfect compliment for the verses that our family are memorizing this week..Matthew 11: 28-30. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.......
Thanks also for commenting on my post.

Thanks for pondering that wonderful verse! I too, will be meditating on that tomorrow.

It is SO true- living a life of peace, is living my life in order before our Lord, in HIS will (not my own).

It sure shows on our countenance doesn't it?! When we are frazzled or when we are calm and relaxed- knowing it is all in God's hands.

Thanks,
Traci

I love to think about this verse! I often find my mind very busy and going in a hundred directions... I need to remember, "calm mind = healthy body".

Hi! How funny that you're pondering this as I'm doing a study on meekness and quietness of the heart over at my blog. :) Very cool!

Just wanted to say thanks, I needed to be reminded of that as I have struggled to rest in God's faithfulness the past few weeks.

Blessings,
Kimberly
