Sarah, I understand what you mean. It's reassuring to know that God knows,...even when we sit to pray and all we can do is cry because the words won't come...he knows.
Romans 8: 26 Likewise the Spirit help us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (ESV)
I was just talking with my husband about this today. I've been burdened so heavily about human trafficking (especially children) and the more I learn and read, the more disturbed I am by the horrors of humanity.
But God - who loves us enough to give us FREE WILL to choose Him or choose other things - allows for evil. Difficult to understand. People wonder why God doesn't DO something about evil. Why He allows it to go on unpunished.
While evil and suffering are sometimes inexplicable, there will be a day of reckoning. And for those who are victimized by such depravity and horror, there is sweet peace and freedom that only God can give. He meets evil's throwdown with the promise of peace. Even at its worst, evil is no match for God...
Luke 21:28 - Now when these things begin to occur, look up and lift up your head, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near.
When the fears of life start to overwhelm me I have to remember that MY God is in control of EVERYTHING and as long I am in line with his will all things will work out. The world however is a different story. I know it's all in his control but it's so hard to watch. If you've read the book of Revelation you know that it all has to come to pass before His return. So sometimes I have to look at it with anticipation of Him coming back SOON! HUGS. Kim
Yes, Sarah! I know exactly what you mean! I even get this way about myself! Try to remember that though we don't know, the Holy Spirit does and that is why He intercedes for us. We do not know what is best for us to pray about, but the Holy Spirit does!
I feel your pain. It can be gut-wrenching, can't it? As a convert, it also fills me with gratitude though. Now I have Christ -- the true source of hope.

I know what you mean Sarah Mae. I also feel like it is trying to seep its way into my little humble abode.
I ditto what Stephanie said...I was going to put the same Scripture reference! Love you, girl.
