My Adventures In Vlogging (From A Vlog Reject)

Video blogging, otherwise known as "vlogging" is the new thing you know.

I thought I'd give it a shot, I mean, how difficult could it be really?

*Warning - Terrible visuals ahead...

you are just too cute for words. and you totally remind me of a friend from college.

hope you get some good tips, i'm pretty sure i won't ever vlog cause i do not like the sound of my voice on video. :)

I have no tips. No help. I do good just to blog much less vlog. Somehow putting a voice with a face just pulls it all together. Does that make sense? And you are too cute :)

I suggest to lock yourself in a room with really good lighting and your make up! LOL.
I know I'm no help at all am I. But you looked really cute! LOL.
Blessings my friend.

No tips here--but only because I've never heard of vlogging! Hope someone is able to help you out!

Ok, here are a couple of tips that I thought you might benefit from. (please do not think I have a clue about what I am talking about) :-)

1. Lighting: try to do it in the middle of the day with natural lighting. This will look more appealing and will also make the resolution not so grainy.

2. Resolution: Try not to move around to much when in video mode. This makes it blurry and your camera needs a few seconds to refocus.

3. Try practicing what you want to say before you vlog it. That will help you feel more at ease and you won't have to re-record so many times.

I hope that helps a little bit. I think you brave just for attempting. I greatly dislike the sound of my own voice so you probably won't see any vlogging on my blog. :)

Good luck and God Bless!!

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? You are phenomenal. That is just too cute, you sound adorable - so just do it!
And you look awesome after just having a baby. WOW!!

I think your 40 second video was wonderful. You are so sweet. I really don't have any suggestions because I don't like to be on camera. Getting old and I don't want to scare the children. lol!

I do really like to hear a voice that goes with the face. Keep trying and I am sure you will get the results you want.

I guess I do have one suggestion. Do it after midnight there should be no interruptions.

Have a blessed weekend!

There will be no help here, as I do good to blog the regular way. I couldn't possibly add anymore to my nontechnical self. However, I will agree with the majority you are as cute as can be.

OH you are too cute for sure! Ok, does this mean I need to pull out my dusty web cam and get some video going?? Oh man! I may need the tips myself because I'm in the same boat you are!

I will never VLOG because I don't even like PHOTOS of myself, let alone myself on video. But you are adorable and maybe someone else will have great ideas!

I haven't read the other comments yet but I'm sure they all sound a lot like this:

OMG you are SO cute!!! I think you're vlogging just fine! :) You look fab.

It was totally fun to hear your voice. I feel like I've met you now.

I love your vlogging! I feel like I have seen you now!!! lol.

So cute.

And I don't think I could ever vlog...I am too critical of the way I look.

But you do so well. It is suppose to look like a home movie, not a professional studio commercial! You did great. Real people, real vlogs.

Oh you did just perfect my friend - what are you talking about? I loved seeing you and hearing your voice!!

Maybe you need to come up with a good time - when the kiddos are napping or something and you do have to kind of practice what you're going to say first. But I figure that some mistakes just make it look more real - LOL!

Seriously, though - try going to newbaby.com and joining (free) where I have my vlogs. Look for Jendi's Journal - she has vlogs about how to vlog well and she's really nice too.

My very first vlog had 3 or 4 takes even after I had kind of practiced first.

Love you and you look fabulous!!!

I guess I'm the odd one out. I thought you were adorable and I really liked your voice ... but I love regular blogs because I can pour over them, digest them, and appreciate them at my own pace (you know, with toddlers, the phone, the dogs ... interruptions abound and it's nice to have the chance to focus on words and get up and come back if needed).

Ok I totally have to get hubby to hook my speakers back up so I can watch this.

Just stopping by to let you know that there is a blog award waiting for you at my blog!

Have a blessed day!
