Spring Reading Thing!

The Spring Reading Thing is just what I need to start reading again. It has been a long time since I have really enjoyed a good book because I am just too busy to read! With two toddlers and a new baby, finding time to do anything is a challenge! But, I want this, I need this...

I realize my book list is super short, but I'm just being realistic. If I finish these four and have time for more, I will add more books.

Here is my spring reading list (I am very excited about it!):

Beautiful Girlhood, Mabel Hale

Happy Reading!!!

Peace Like A River has always caught my eye but I have never read it. Perhaps when you finish, you could post a little review?

I loved Peace Like a River. Don't know your other titles but I look them up. I always get too many new book ideas from these challenges :)

I just requested the top 2 from interlibrary loans. They look very interesting. (I have the Dave Ramsey book already, it's very good).

Oh I sooo need to get back into reading. Unfortunately, I'm not sure merely posting my list will be enough kick in the boot for me. BUT, it can't hurt to try! I did one back in the Fall and I failed to meet it, lol. Perhaps I should try it out again anyhow.
Thanks for the inspiration!

I have been a terrible reader ever since my son was a baby. I am just getting back to it and working on one at a time, no matter how long it takes me!

I think a short but realistic list is a fine idea :) Especially with two toddlers and a baby -- seems to me you have three good reasons why reading is not exactly top priority at the moment! I have Peace Like a River but haven't yet read it. You'll have to let everyone know what you think of it once you've gotten through it. Happy reading.

The list is just perfect! Having three kiddos takes a lot. I know :)

I only have Dave Ramsey's book on my list. I'm hoping to get through it and take the time to complete the steps. Baby steps!!

I love, love, love your blog! I hope all is well with the kiddos and hubby.

There's a lot to be said for being realistic -- I think it's an excellent approach.

Peace Like a River is one of those books that I've heard SO many good things about, I'm almost afraid to read it (what if it doesn't live up to the hype? what if I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't like it?). :) One of these days, I'm sure I'll get around to reading it, though.

Thanks for being part of Spring Reading Thing '09!
