These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things...

I've been inspired by my friend Laura to share with you all some of my favorite things that will perhaps make your Christmas lists. Enjoy!
This game is not for the faint of heart - it involves strategy, fierce competition, and a love for three hour board games! Don't be intimidated, if I can learn it, anyone can! It is so much fun!

This study is so foundational to womanhood and I believe that EVERY Christian woman should take this course (yes, it's actually as intense as a college course, but so worth the investment!) It goes in depth about how women are created by God to be a:
Woman of Your Domain
Helper-Completer
Lifegiver
Lady of Wisdom
Glory of Man
This is me dressed as the Five Aspects Woman for a bible study I did! Once you do the study, you will totally get it!

SO SO SO good! Christian music that is deep and beautiful. I am not a fan of most Christian music because I think it lacks substance and talent - Shane & Shane has both.

"Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?"
"You're an angry elf."
My kiddos LOVE this bear puzzle - keeps 'em busy for a LONG time!
GREAT ideas/crafts/games to teach your kiddos to "hide the word" in their hearts.

Little Women (unabridged)
This classic just makes ya feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Read it curled up in a comfy place with a warm drink.

Excellent commentary on the bible - very thorough and thought-provoking.

Anne of Green Gables DVD'S

"Today is a new day with no mistakes in it."
I really like my little girl watching this DVD because Anne is a wonderful role-model.

Gizmo Can Opener

We got this for our wedding, and at first I didn't like it and went back to a regular old hand held can opener. When that one broke two years later, I tried my Gizmo again. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING!!! This thing is GREAT! Just stick it on a can and watch it go (or do something else in the meantime!) Love it!

Autumn Leaves Yankee Candle

Picture yourself among pine trees and a wood stove - so warm and homey...

What are some of your favorite things?

Wow. Such wonderful fun things. I love candles and just bought me a tart warmer! We love the movie Elf. I have yet to watch Anne of Green Gables but my Mom has them so I'll ask her to bring them down with her this winter. A great list. A lot of things worth checking out. Oh since I like you and your my friend and I now you don't stop by my blog on a regular basis, I just wanted to let you know that I'm having a Gooseberry Patch Book giveaway that ends Thursday. Come join in.
Okay Long winded response. Sorry.
Hugs.
Missed you last week. Is it taking you this long to write posts now? lol. Just kidding.
Love ya!

Someone in my house LOVES Settlers of Catan, and it isn't me, although I would definitely be speaking hubby's love language if I would learn to play with him. Instead he has had to settle for monthly game night and teaching our six year old (who is none to shabby at it!)

And Little Women is my all time favorite book, well, after Gone With the Wind.

I love Little Women - I need to read it again. And I love the Anne of Green Gables movies - read all the books when I was younger. You have some other good things I will have to check out.

Nice to see you back!

Settlers rocks!!!!! It is certainly going on my Christmas list since the people we always play with are starting to think that we only like them for their game. As far as funny movies go "Baby Mama" has got to be the funniest think I've seen in a long time.

Lisa! Re-read Anne of Green Gables. I just read the whole series again this summer and it is totally different as a mom.

Oooh...I love this topic. I may need to copy you! Settlers is one of my favorites, too. We're also into a game called Ticket To Ride. Similar to Settlers but WAY faster. Still a long game, but you don't wait 5 minutes for your turn.

And that bear puzzle is going on our kids' wish list for Christmas. I think they'll love it!
