The Brave Souls...

Here are the brave souls who are venturing to rise early and begin their day with the Lord! If you want more information on the 5 AM club, go here and learn all about it!

Welcome Kimba!
And Kim is in!
Lisa
Friend Chick
Amanda Jo
MamaHenClucks
Traci
Kyla

To all of these women (and any other "takers") I give the following award:

The Marie Antoinette Award
A Real Person Award
The above women are seeking to pursue the Lord at the sacrifice of those precious early morning hours when they could be in dream land!
Friends, I am excited to grow with you, drink coffee with you, and hear all about what the Lord is teaching you (more on this later)!
The rules for this award are to display the icon, and pass it along to seven (7) other bloggers that you feel are real in who they are.
I realize I only gave away six, so who wants to grab the seventh?
I have Kim from Homesteaders Heart to thank for this sweet and generous award. This gal has a beautiful heart-warming smile and a lovely blog. Thank you Kim!!!

Thank you so much! There's nothing like a daily reminder, and a motivator for someone else!

Ooo! I'm interested in the 5:00 am club. HOw do you join. I already get up at 5:30 so a half hour may not be so bad.
Hugs.

5 am? ummm no thanks. Are there any "burning the midnight oil awards"? with a midnight bedtime I sleep in to 6:30 or 7. Way to go ladies!

Thank you :) I can't wait to put it up. I do have to confess, though, that I'm actually getting up at 6:30, not 5am.

Kim responds to comment left by Sarah Mae with this (sticking her tongue out she says) You smarty pants LOL. That's why I like you so much. I'll be calling you at 5:01AM to make sure you're up!
Love ya sister!

Thanks for this reminder, Sarah Mae. I am an inconsistent member of the 6:15 club. That's when my hubby leaves for work. Lately I have been thinking that is not early enough.

I know how much better my days are (and my walk in general) when I get up before the sun and start my day with the Lord. I have found that the one thing that helps me is if I pray for my morning wake-up while I am setting my clock each night.

I ask the Lord to help me rise with a song in my heart and a desire to be with Him. Now don't get me wrong. Most days I don't arise singing songs of praise but I do feel that it helps.

I am going to recommit to rising early and I'm going to pray for all of the women that you listed (and you) before I go to bed. That we would all rise early and start our day with our Lord. Could someone pray for me too? I'm going to need it. :-)

Thank you for the award and I ask for all your prayers!! I am totally a night person and usually don't go to bed until looonnnng past midnight or one and can't get up, of course.

I am trying to get prepared for the change this weekend - going to do some blog posts ahead and schedule some things to be done during the week in the daytime and get to bed at a decent hour Sunday night.

See you bright and early Monday morning! Of course, you will have been up for hours before it's time for me to get up - so don't try calling me or anything at 5am your time - LOL!
