Bring On The Deli Meat! Preggo's And Cold Cuts...

For all you preggo's out there who thought that you couldn't eat cold cuts cold, be prepared to jump for joy.

The wonderful nurse at my prenatal visit told me that you absolutely can eat deli meat as long as you get it freshly sliced. Did you hear that? YOU CAN EAT COLD CUTS...COLD! Yippee!!!

(Am I the only one completely ecstatic over this?)

I also heard you can eat it if it's heated up like Subway toasts theirs-I don't know how true it is but this is what I heard.
Also did you hear that pregnant women should not eat Tillamook Cheddar cheese? My daughter told me this and I could not believe it!
Congrats on being able to eat your lunch meat! (my daughter is pregnant and she just craves it!)

Yay for you! I never found out you couldn't have it cold when I was pregnant with my son...and I ate a lot of sandwiches - oops! Always something new to remember!

Just be careful of the sodium levels!

I've heard several doctors go back and forth on this, but my Dr still swears against deli meat. Considering the fact that we eat it daily around here, it was a major change for me during my pregnancies. When I get pregnant again, I'll bug my Dr again!!!

Sarah darling, you grew up eating cold bologna and peanut butter sandwiches. As a matter of fact, you liked peanut butter and bologna better than peanut butter and jelly!

Someday I'm going to post that picture of you with the leg warmers and cat on here...

Love ya, Dad

I've ALWAYS eaten cold cuts while pregnant! Never heard that I couldn't!

Now I no longer eat the stuff with nitrates tho'. Only nitrate free, a bit more expensive, but worth the health benefits.

Oops paint is the paint that people return to places like Home Depot and Lowes that they didn't like (oops, the wrong color!)

There is a section in both stores (at least at all the ones I've ever been in, in 3 different states) that sells this "unwanted" paint for $3-$5 dollars a gallon. They often have deck stain and all kinds of paints (outdoor and indoor). It's really hit or miss, I check almost everytime I go there.

Hope that helps!
