Day 19 - The Vehicle

Good morning dear friends and visitors! Up until now we have focused much on getting ourselves in order, along with our home. Today we will move outside to the vehicle.

I happen to have a cheese wagon (with a spoiler - oh yea!)

A cheese wagon collects cheerios, cheese, chicken nuggets, toys, cups, clothes, and sticky stuff. It also collects things a regular car does, such as dust, goo, hair, and random papers. Maybe you are the type that keeps your car clean (applause), but is the dashboard dusted? The radio wiped down? How about vacuumed (speaking of vacuums...check back later...)?

Today's challenge is to clean out your vehicle - make it sparkly and new! Get yourself a nice little good smelly thing and stick it in there too! I can't wait to hear if you find anything crazy! Do tell!

I don't have much junk in there other than a stray crayon or two and a fruit roll up wrapper, because I try to get all the trash out when we get out of the car but boy does it need to be wiped down from all the sticky goo that comes from I don't know where and vaccuumed. Where does that goo come from...and why are there chocolate milk drippings on the seat?? Drippings that didn't matter until recently when we retired my daughter's booster seat. Thanks for the reminder...that's what the kids and I can do today before heading out to the pool...Like I said, you are better than Flylady...

Oh, what a great challenge. My husband loves a clean car but I do it so rarely. I hope to get this done today.
Blessings,

Good Morning!
I just wanted to drop a note and let you know I am truly enjoying your blog! I just recently found your blog, and have been popping in to read a little each day! Oh what fun it has been! I too love a good cup of coffee and enjoy some blogging time early in the morning! Because of your cleaning tip, I now have a clean laundry room! I must say that it is much easier now to go down to to the laundry now! So many Thanks to you! Keep bloggin' - I'm lovin' it! Your one of my 'Favorites'!!

I saw on Debbie's blog today that you used to work for a Crisis Pregnancy Center. I worked for one in NC for 7 years ('99 - '06). Where was the one you worked for? We may have crossed paths before.

Oh my! Unfortunately my car is as messy as the house. Maybe one day I'll grow up and learn to clean properly. Until then, I'm trying to follow your suggestions!

I've been needing to do this with both of our cars - good call! We're getting ready to be a one car family, so I'll tackle the one we want to sell today. It is cleaned out, but REALLY needs a wash and sparkle. Maybe I can get that done at nap time...

The Green Big Van needs to be bombed, not just cleaned. Ugh. I was just thinking how fun it would be to get Kiddo out there helping scrub it down. Hmmm, maybe tomorrow when I can get out there before it's 130 degrees. Okay, 96.

Ah yes the car. Anyone else get a pang of dread when dad calls out - let's take mom's car! :0 It has always been affectionately called - a happy meal on wheels. Cleaning day - always an adventure...legos...candy wrappers..but what we found this weekend was a new one. Sand paint from camp! Nothing like blue gritty paint in the gray leather. We decided to let that one soak a bit. :)

I try to keep clutter out of the mom van. Both kids have one of those little dollar store plastic shoe boxes filled with their toys. Really helps keep things under control. I also have another plastic tote thingy to hold books and notebooks. I do need to clean that out, though. It rarely gets used.

Oh I hate to think of all the crumbs and snack food wrapers that are wedged between the kids car seats in the back....
My hubby is usually responsible for this area - but he gets on my case if I don't at least 'help-out' with keeping the car clean.
So, I'll have to get the vacumn out I think get to work.
