In 1937 a bill was introduced in Congress to add the head of civil-rights leader/feminist Susan B. Anthony to Mount Rushmore. However, another bill was passed that said that federal funds would only pay to finish the heads that had already been started at the time, therefore, no Ms. Anthony. (Weird, huh?)
