I am a children's pastor in Tennessee and I've challenged the families and kids in our church to have a spend less, give more Christmas. We've worked with kids to make a Christmas wish list of items they really want for Christmas and then we're asking them to prayerfully consider with their parent giving up some of those items to give to a project that provides clean drinking water in Africa. My prayer at this moment is that you ladies will take up Sarah's challenge. I can't wait to see how families will respond. God bless you and Merry Christmas!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5845574752812091685.post-8725554139667053472008-11-17T21:58:00.000-05:002008-11-17T21:58:00.000-05:00Wonderful video! I make gifts for other family members.

I was up at 5:15 this morning, but am trying again for 5am tomorrow!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06958936771590770427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5845574752812091685.post-20514286568340215192008-11-17T19:46:00.000-05:002008-11-17T19:46:00.000-05:00I don't actually drink coffee ... My church did something very similar yesterday, but I can't get my hands on the video in time to upload it. Our church's video gave the statistic that people spend an hour each week in church or worshiping and over FIVE hours each week shopping. AND that 15 million people in our country could be classified as clinically addicted to shopping. What is wrong with our culture!??!?!"Intentionally Katie"https://www.blogger.com/profile/17821320551904740675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5845574752812091685.post-4851992957057523402008-11-17T16:04:00.000-05:002008-11-17T16:04:00.000-05:00ummm...we go around 1 if we go. I organized a hand made ornament exchange for this a few years ago where we all made 24 of one of the ornaments and then exchanged. I have been doing it for 4 years, and it is seriously one of our fav. traditions. I will be posting my ornaments soon and would love to link to your post once you get it up.
Since I want 5 sets for all of my kids when they get married, I am organizing another one, but just couldn't get it off the ground for this year, so I am going to do it during the summer when we all have more "crafty" time. :)
So glad hubby finally let you know the box was lurking. You must DO THE CHEESECAKE BALL now...so easy - butter and cream cheeesed served with graham cracker sticks. I have actually sold out of them they are that yummy.Jen - Balancing Beauty and Bedlamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09152743288585898776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5845574752812091685.post-90884563270415068812008-11-17T05:17:00.000-05:002008-11-17T05:17:00.000-05:00Good morning, 5 a.m. girls!
